Prof. Anne L’Huillier visits our labs

Last week we had the great honor to host prof. Anne L’Huillier – a French-Swedish physicist whose research has made major contributions to the field of ultrafast laser science. She is best known for her pioneering work on generating and studying attosecond light pulses, which allow scientists to observe the motion of electrons inside atoms and molecules. Her discoveries have advanced fundamental physics and opened new possibilities for research in chemistry, materials science, and electronics. In recognition of these achievements, she shared the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics with Pierre Agostini and Ferenc Krausz.

It is wort mentioning that we have hosted a visit of prof. Krausz as well. We are glad our research is of interest to such recognizable scholars with pionieering contributions to contemporary physics and optics.
